No, not the dreaded chigger, or the ladybug. It's the Passion Play itch and the acting bug. This past weekend we performed the 22nd annual Centennial Baptist Church Passion Play here in Georgia. It was my second year as a Pharisee, and first for sounding the shofar before Jesus ascended to His Throne in Heaven. With our return to Eureka Springs, AR less than a month away, we will be part of The Great Passion Play there for the third year.
It's fun to be part of these ministries, but more than that it's a joy to be able to tell the story of Jesus' ministry on earth and share with others the hope we have of life with Him for eternity. Here at Source of Light, we reach hundred and thousands and ten of thousands with our Bible lessons. It's wonderful to hear that students of our lessons are coming to faith in Jesus Christ, but there's something different in reaching people through drama and song and a visual presentation.
Whatever ministry we are called to, and no matter how we serve, our job is the same: to preach Jesus in words and deeds. No matter where or how, get the bug or the itch, and pursue it, that others may catch what we have and join God's family and live with the hope of eternal salvation. What we have is far too good to keep to ourselves and something we need to share more boldly with those we come into contact with every day. Thank You, Lord. All praise, honor and glory to You.
