April 30, 2017. Eureka Springs, AR. Crunch Time

We're down to the nubs. Today the wardrobe managers for all four cast dressing rooms appeared to finalize their rooms for dress rehearsal tomorrow night. The sound and light person(s) were checking the speakers, lights, computer feeds and all the other tech elements for the play. The animals have been brought down to the set to "mark their territory" and the doves (white pigeons) will be flown tomorrow to make sure they "home" to the proper place after their circling the set a few times.
We still have a lot of finish work on the set to make the new construction look old, and there are still water drainage issues to be resolved. We were inundated with rain the past few days and were doing well until the final deluge about 3pm yesterday when some of the downstage set area washed away; an area we thought had been repaired.. We'll be able to get it ready for the Friday opening, and hope not to see that much rain again this season. I think we had over 10 inches of rain this past week. We also have a group of 11 coming from Louisiana tomorrow for the week. They have been here a number of times before and will be a big help in getting us ready for the weekend. Bubba no his group are hard workers for The Lord.
There have been more new projects in the works for this season and while all of them are not complete, we will have time before the four-a-week performance days start at the end of May to get them completed. We'll see what each day brings, but trust God will give us the people, the skills and the resources needed to keep us going, present the Good News of Jesus Christ and bring glory and praise to The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. In everything we Praise God from Whom, ALL blessings flow.
