I am amazed at the restraint exhibited by President Trump as he presides over the daily Coronavirus press briefings, answers questions which in many instances are asked with the intention of tripping him up, inciting him to a "Bernie Sanders f-bomb" response, or something which will be fodder for his political opponents.
I am amazed, moreover, at the constant restraint he has shown from the moment he was nominated and elected to the Presidency. He has made some very pointed remarks which get to the meat of the matter and represent the thoughts of the millions of Americans who voted for him. If we had been faced with the same questions, opposition, hatred and outright disrespect, we would have "hit the fan" and told the world to "take this job and shove it". I know for sure, I have "lost it" many times for far, far less abuse.
In the current crisis, I believe we have exactly the right people in the right positions to face the problem and see us to a positive outcome. I marvel at the vast knowledge and acumen of this Administration to put American back into a position of power and world leadership which had been eroded during the preceding eight years. For such a time as this, I have complete confidence that God had, and still has, the right team in place to handle what He knew was coming; and He will reward those who want to see a good outcome and punish those who have less-than-honorable motives in the current situation. I pray the American people will not be deceived by the "politics" of the moment and do the right thing, as well, when we come to the 2020 election process.
Fear not, take this unprecedented time in history to be safe, be strong and look to God for HIs peace and HIS eternal plan for each and every one of us; in The Precious Name of Jesus Christ. Amen....and.....AMEN.

Hello Karen and Hal - Susan and I have made it OK so far, we hate that our trip to Eureka for Easter had to be cancelled. Now, we read that the whole town is closed; hotels, restaurants, attractions, everything. Renee said it was completely empty, like she had never seen it before. ReplyDeleteOur church that we have been attending for 15 years, more of less, was absorbed by another, 10 times larger, congregation that needed a presence in the north part of Jackson, Ridgeland. Listened to the preacher last Sunday, pretty perky. Our country is blessed to have President Trump. I fear that we would have been lost, probably long before the plague got here (there is an outside chance that the plague would NOT have been released had we had elected a different person, but that is another conspiracy theory).
Notice how the MSM downplays the HCQ, Z-Pak, and Zinc connections? It's not working, etc. Could be that they don't want the President to get credit for supporting a ubiquitous therapy, that is inexpensive, and doesn't require a long-term testing regime. The big pharma can't make any money off a drug that has been generic for 50 years, so 'they' are pushing for another as yet discovered treatment.
