Technology is a fabulous thing.......when it works. When it doesn't, Katie bar the door. As we transition from our 40 plus years of legal residency in Colorado to a status of indefinite uncertainty, we are forced to make a lot of changes in a wide variety of areas like RV insurance, health insurance, car insurance, rental insurance, mailing address, physical address, savings accounts, checking accounts, social security status, buying or renting a residence in Arkansas, underpayments, overpayments, refunds, credits.......
Without a computer, we are forced into a cell phone, mini-iPad, hot spot, fax, scan and email, e-sign dilemma with texting of secret codes and a host of other options to be legal and within HIPAA privacy, confidentiality rules and so many more regulations, it is amazing how dependent we are on the high tech elements we have created. Where you could once shake hands on the sale of virtually the whole Louisiana Purchase or the Alaskan Territory, it now takes reams of documents, a plethora of lawyers, and ultra high tech to sign up for a library card.
But, Thank God when it all works......and thank God for the ten year old we call to fix it when it doesn't. "Oh, the humanity"
