Greetings from Lufkin, TX. December 24, 2013 Thoughts in my journal this morning as I began my quiet time. "Thank You, Lord for this place You have prepared for us. I keep remembering John 14, about the place Jesus is preparing for us with The Father and Him in Heaven and I come to the present moment and where God is leading us each day. Each place is the place He wants us to be and each day is an opportunity to serve Him, to preach Him whether we stand up and shout to the world or talk face to face with the person in front of us at that moment. Do not rush the time away, do not be in a hurry to get to the next place WE think we are supposed to be. Get with God's itinerary and HIS timetable, work where HE tells us to work, stay where HE tells us to stay and rest in the surety that HE knows what's best for us and will provide all we need to attain it, whether in this place or the next. Thank you,Lord". We pray for Omar in Denton, TX, Don from Oregon living with his mom in Tyler, TX, The Pease River Cowboy Church in Goodlett, TX, Pastor Josh, Norma, her friend in Creede, CO, Kim and Mario, Greg and his ministry, and others we have spoken with whose names and needs are known by God. As always we pray for our family and friends, Shiloh Christian Church, God's grace and mercy for our country and world. Merry Christmas to all and Happy Birthday to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. |

Your post makes me think of this verse:
ReplyDelete"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." Proverbs 16:9
It seems as if you truly allowing God to direct you to people in need, and it is His will that leads you on. I would love to hear any stories you may experience about God's leading and how you decide to go from place to place.
God bless your efforts today.
